Microbading & Microshading

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup. A manual tool (blade) is used to create feather like hair strokes with color pigment to the dermis layer of the skin in the eyebrow region. Microbalding is semi-permanent and can last 12 – 18 months with proper care.

This cosmetic method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of his or her eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. Microblading is ideal for people suffering from alopecia, sparse, thin or uneven eyebrows.

Microblading is not that same as eyebrow tattoo. Microblading penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. The strokes result in hair like appearance and are created one by one, unlike traditional eyebrow tattooing where the entire eyebrow is filled in like solid blocks.

Application of Microblading brows involve partial numbing during the procedure to ease any discomfort an individual may feel. Per clients the feeling of Microblading is most like eyebrow threading, or a discomfort of 3 on a scale of 1-10. Remember every skin type is different and the level of sensitivity varies, but the results are worth it!

Many are unaware that Microblading and Microshading are very different brown techniques. Microblading creates the hair like strokes while Microshading ONLY fills in gap spaces were the blade can’t create hair like strokes. Melanin HairBrowLash uses both techniques to create a natural filling brow look. To avoid a sold fill-in brow the combination of the Microblading & Microshading are used.

First time Microbalding clients booking Information

First time procedures are done in 2 phases. During your first appointment the entire foundation is completed. Then you will have to go through a 6-8 healing cycle and return for a touch up. After that touch up you will only need a touch up every 12 – 18 weeks depending on proper care, skin care regimen, hormones, sun exposure, and iron deficiency.

Healing Process

Your brows will go through multiple changes throughout the healing process. Please do not panic! In the beginning brows will be very dark, within the first 2 weeks or so they will lighten up about 40%. In the first 10 days you will notice mild scabbing and flaking…. This is NORMAL and expected. Scabs will naturally fall off and it is crucial that you do not pick at the scabs. During week 3 the skin is going through its regeneration phase as the ink is settling (the ink might even look like it disappeared). Aftercare instructions will be provided after your appointment.

Don’t worry! In week 4, it is very important that you schedule any necessary touch ups that the scabs may have taken from the ink while healing.

COMING SOON – Nano Brows

Nano brows are needing, or micropigmentation very similar to micro blading. In nan brow treatment, ultra-fine needles ranging in size from 0.18 – 0.35 are used to mimic the diameter and dimension of real hair in the skin. Since the needle sits inside the cartridge and depth penetration can be precisely adjusted, it’s easier for the technician to create perfect, natural-looking hair strokes. The best part of Nano is a much easier healing process and they last up to 3 years!
